IP addresses define the neighborhood. They come in two forms, static and dynamic. Statis ones are assigned to a machine, or VM and don't change. They are normally used for machines that provide known services that are expected to be found at known places. Dynamic ones are used for things that come and go like user machines, IOT devies and phones.

All of the addresses in the normal LAN in the network start with 192.168.86. Only the last number in the address is listed in the table. Numbers 0 and 255 are reserved by the network specification.

Tailscale provides an internal VPN between systems. It is used primarily by the ADSB systems to communicate between themselves in spite of being indifferent locations.
